Hend Mgaieth, President of IUSY, Bruno Gonçalves, Secretary General of IUSY, and Vice-President of IUSY, Víctor Carmino, were present at the Council of the Socialist International, where they met with the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, the Vice President and daughter of Salvador Allende, Isabel Allende, and other prominent figures of International Socialism.

During the Council meeting, significant developments were achieved. Chantal Kambiwa was appointed as the new General Coordinator of the IS. Additionally, the establishment of the International Socialist Foundation was agreed upon, with a primary focus on facilitating training initiatives. There was also a discussion on the need to create a political school for young individuals, emphasizing our commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders and promoting democratic principles.

During a subsequent gathering, an important development unfolded. A joint declaration regarding the situation in Gaza was reached through consensus between representatives from Israel and Palestine. We were privileged to closely monitor the proceedings, reaffirming our dedication to pursuing peaceful and just resolutions to urgent humanitarian concerns.
