Congress 2026

The IUSY World Congress 2026 brought together member organizations, youth leaders, and activists from around the world in a key space for dialogue, cooperation, and political action. In a global context marked by geopolitical tensions, challenges to democracy, and growing inequalities, the Congress strengthened international solidarity and helped build collective responses to today’s challenges.

Under the theme “Courage in Action: Shaping the World We Want”, the Congress served as a platform to turn shared values into concrete action, promoting a collective vision of a more just, democratic, and peaceful world. Throughout the event, delegations worked on developing strategies, policy proposals, and resolutions that will guide IUSY’s work in the years ahead.

The Congress also included key governance processes, such as the election of new leadership, the submission of candidacies, and the adoption of political documents. In addition, the event promoted inclusive participation by ensuring gender balance within delegations and facilitating global participation through logistical support and, in some cases, travel assistance.

More than just a gathering, the IUSY World Congress was a space to renew commitments, strengthen alliances, and advance the collective effort to build a future driven by youth, solidarity, and social justice.
