AGAINST THE POLICIES OF SURRENDER OF THE GOVERNMENT OF JAVIER MILEI

From the Argentine Radical Youth and Franja Morada, we wish to raise the alarm and denounce the policies that undermine our sovereignty being carried out by the National Government, led by President Javier Milei.
Indeed, in addition to the extensive legislation promoted by the current administration aimed at facilitating the disposal of national resources in favor of foreign interests, there has recently been an assault on our financial system through the intervention of the Government of the United States in the midst of the electoral process that Argentines are experiencing this year, with the purpose of assisting and supporting the ruling party, which is immersed in a severe crisis due to the failure of the measures implemented since December 2023.
With this step, Argentina’s historic external debt has been compounded by debt contracted directly with the United States Department of the Treasury, further deepening the dependence that the National Government of Javier Milei has, in all spheres, on the government of Donald Trump.
There are no precedents for an intervention of this nature, which has extended to explicit and forceful messages of support from President Trump to Argentine political factions, thus interfering in the internal affairs of another country, all of this taking place with the endorsement and applause of the Argentine government.
This development is not isolated from the broader global context of international relations. For this reason, we believe that this resolution will be understood by our sister organizations within IUSY, recognizing that political positions of this kind are more necessary than ever to defend the sovereignty of each country against the totalitarian advances of global powers.
