Reminder of values and principles (IUSY) – International solidarity, common struggles, and political coherence

- Considering that international solidarity is a fundamental principle of the socialist movement and must be based on real and consistent political coherence.
- Noting that some parties or movements change their positions once they come to power, contradicting their previous commitments.
- Considering that such practices undermine trust between progressive organizations and weaken common struggles at the international level
- Reaffirming that international solidarity cannot be opportunistic or circumstantial, but must be long-lasting and based on respect for shared values.
The International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY):
- Reaffirms its commitment to sincere international solidarity based on trust, transparency, and clear political principles;
- Calls for consistent political coherence between rhetoric, commitments, and practices.
- Urges socialist and progressive youth organizations to be vigilant in their alliances and partnerships.
- Reaffirms the need to strengthen genuine international solidarity based on political consistency and fidelity to the principles of the socialist movement.
