In a regional and global context marked by rising violence, deepening inequalities, the climate crisis, and increasing risks of democratic backsliding, from the Americas we reaffirm the need for a clear political stance in response to the challenges currently facing our peoples.
This resolution expresses concern over the advance of authoritarianism, the persistence of structures of social and economic exclusion, and the disproportionate impact of these crises on the most vulnerable populations, particularly youth. It also reaffirms the principles of democracy, social justice, equality, and international solidarity that guide the political action of the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY).

We recognize the increase and consolidation of violence in the region, reflected in rising rates of femicides, social conflicts, and the deepening of inequalities. We warn of the risk of democratic regression in the face of the consolidation of authoritarian governments, the advance of the far right, and various forms of foreign interference, all of which threaten the hard-won achievements in human and social rights.
We highlight the persistence of structural inequalities that disproportionately affect Latin America and historically marginalized populations, particularly youth, limiting their access to rights, opportunities, and dignified living conditions.
We acknowledge the growing climate crisis and its differentiated impacts, exacerbated by the lack of collective action, the absence of genuine multilateral solutions, and insufficient political will to advance toward truly sustainable development models.
We express our solidarity with migrants, as well as with Indigenous and rural communities, who face forced displacement, exile, violence, and dispossession as a result of exclusion, conflict, and the socio-environmental crisis.
Therefore, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the defense of democracy, social justice, and human rights in the Americas.
We condemn all forms of authoritarianism, repression, and democratic regression in the region, and demand the implementation of inclusive and sustainable public policies that address the structural causes of inequality and promote social equity.
We urge governments and international organizations to adopt effective solutions to the climate crisis, prioritizing environmental justice, the protection of the most affected communities, and the strengthening of multilateral responses. Likewise, we call for the construction of peaceful and democratic solutions to the social and political conflicts that persist in the region.
We promote regional integration based on solidarity, respect for diversity, and cooperation among the peoples of the Americas.
Finally, we promote the active and effective participation of youth in political processes and decision-making, recognizing their fundamental role as agents of change, and we reiterate our commitment to building more just, equitable, democratic, and sustainable societies in which all people can live with dignity and freedom.
