Sudan

1. Sudan is experiencing a devastating humanitarian and political crisis. Millions of people have been displaced, countless civilians killed, and communities torn apart by widespread violence. Civilians continue to face indiscriminate attacks, sexual violence, and the destruction of essential infrastructure.
2. The conflict is driven not only by internal power struggles, but also by foreign interference that fuels armed actors and prolongs the war. Support—whether political, financial, or military—to militias and warring parties directly undermines peace efforts and exacerbates civilian suffering.
3. In particular, continued external backing of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has contributed to grave human rights violations and the ongoing collapse of civilian life in Sudan.

IUSY therefore demand that:

4. All foreign states, including the United Arab Emirates, immediately cease any form of support to armed actors in Sudan.
5. The international community take coordinated action to halt arms transfers and financial flows that sustain the conflict.
6. Civilian protection, humanitarian access, and accountability for serious human rights violations are prioritised in all international engagement with Sudan.
7. Any path toward peace must be Sudanese-led, centred on civilian democratic forces, and free from militia domination or external interference
8. Humanitarian assistance to Sudan must be significantly increased and delivered in a needs-based, impartial, and independent manner, ensuring direct support to civilians through trusted humanitarian actors and guaranteeing safe and unhindered access across the country.
